HI BAND! :DGood job running/walking/brisk walking! You guys sure did help the poor! HAHA. :D AWESOME JOB! :D Please listen and respect the person standing in front of you. That person is human too. Don't let them shout too much. Not good for throat, not good for heart. :D
I'm here to inform you guys about:
BAND ROOM OPEN TOMORROW!
Tomorrow, the band room will be open :D Please go down and take your instruments or even practice if there are no exams. Please don't just bring it home and do nothing. Try to practice it every once in awhile when you're taking a break after studying. :D
SEC 2s LIBRARY cleanup!
library cleanup, as in, band library cleanup. CIP points will be awarded and you'll have to go for it, it's COMPULSORY. It'll be on the 23rd November 2009. Those who can't make it have to have a letter/MC. The reason have to be valid.
Dates where you'll are free.
Give it to your SLs and I'll collect it them from your SLs. Please take note, it's by 1 NOVEMBER! ONE NOVEMBER. FIRST. FIRST! Please co-operate 'cause we really need the information!
HOLIDAY SCHEDULES are not out yet.

Hi band! :DAudrey Ko Wan Qi asked me post this on the blog to remind the sec 1s and 2s. I'm typing the whole msg here (:
"You suck la. Just write in the blog and remind the sec 1s and newly joined sec 2s to ask their parents about the SSO talk and open rehersal. It's on the 26th of nov and the cost will be from 20 to 30 bucks. Strongly encouraged to go. You still suck"
Spell rehearsal also don't know still say I suck D: hmph.
Okay, jokes aside. I'll summarise all of these for you guys in point form (:

Hey Band(:
Even though the performance yesterday wasnt as what many of us expected but we still got 7hours of CIP clocked in!
Juniors- You all did good job to think that its your first performance in public. Enjoy your music and you girls can definitely go further in band(: Sec3s are proud of you all! Regardless if you made mistakes or not. Everyone will learn from it. And put them into practice in the next performance. And please DONOT get big headed after praises. But still continue to work harder. Get the Passion for band and music fire burning!
There will still be band on the 14th Sept(Monday)
Check the CCA notice board for more info about where to fall in.

Today was a much better practice than yesterday. GOOD JOB people :D Do much better tomorrow and keep up the good work (:
Anyways, the instructions for tomorrow are...
Report to school at 12:30PM tomorrow.
Report in FULL-U
includes :
visible WHITE socks,
white shoes,
your blouse with name tags and tie and for SECTION LEADERS, YOUR SL BADGE! :D,
your skirt at knee length
hair in proper. (Bring hair clips! :D )

1) Band Practice (11/09)
Fall-in at 2pm sharp@HALL.
Half U( Band/pe tee)
Take the initiative to take your instruments before 2pm!
Do not take your own sweet time.
I donot want to see people strolling in!
More instructions about setting up will be given during fall in.
2) Saturday Performance (12/09)
Venue: Ceylon Sports Club
Attire: Full U & School shoes (NO coloured shoes/sneakers!)
Socks must be seen! No ankle socks hiding in your shoes/coloured socks!
Hairstyles- Fringes must all be clipped up! Neat and proper.
Be in school by 1pm to take your instruments and everything needed for the performance.
TUNERS/EXTRA REEDS/OILS!
Everyone to assemble with instruments and all by 1.30pm@Sunken Foyer.
People with small instruments please go and help the Percussion section move their instruments.
I donot want to see people standing/sitting there doing nothing.
Clarinet Section- Remember to bring along the banners for your black stands!
Dinner will be provided! So do not worry about starving!
You can bring snacks to eat inbetween breaks.

Please do flood the tagboard with your questions but not ridiculous ones!

All must be in proper attire and neat.
FALL IN AT 2PM@HALL!
Do not need to set up yet!
People that are late i do not wish to see anyone of you strolling into the hall.
Those without valid reason will receive punishment.
2) Band Practice on 11th Sept (Fri)
Everyone to be in half u(pe shirt/band tee)
FALL IN AT 2PM@HALL!
every remains the same eg: proper attire and people that are late.
Need clarifications please direct them to your sls.
Ridiculous questions will not be entertained.

Hey fellow bandits!(:
1) Performance Details On the 12th Sept For SEC1-3s
Venue- Ceylon Sports Club@ Lavender
Attire- To be confirmed asap!
Transport will be provided!
To be in school by 1.30 with instruments ready at the sunken foyer.
Clarinet Section; Bring black stand and banners for the stand.
Performance should end around 7.30.
Muslim Students are required to bring some food to break fast.
Repertoire-
Seniors; I want to hold your hand, Smoke on the water, Highlights from Grease,
A Hard day's Night.
Juniors; Another bites the dust.
Sls; Make sure everyone has their scores or else quickly get it photocopied!
2) September Holiday Practices
There will be band for ALL on ALL the practices.
Instructions-
Tuesday 8/9 - Combine (Juniors)
Thursday 10/9 - Combine (Seniors)
Friday 11/9 - Combine Full Band (Seniors+Juniors)
All practices are all from 2.30-5pm.
Attire: FULL U
3) CIP- Walk for Rice
200m - 1bowl of rice is donated to charity
600m - 1hr of CIP hours.
Date&Time will be confirmed on a later date.
5) TAKE INITIATIVE!

Band Room will be open on alternate days!
Check the CCA notice board for when i am going to open the band room.
6) CCPS Practices
Mon-Wed - Whole Day.
CIP hrs will be awarded.
7) JBF tickets
Meet at VCH@6pm at the enterance to the Concert Hall upstairs.
It starts at 7pm.
If not sure please ask your sls or any seniors that are going.
Ps; Mind your manners at all times! No shorts, slippers and anything too casual.
Always rmb to check the Band Blog/ CCA noticeboard for any information as it will not always be SMS out. Take initiative to find out what is going on.
Sls; If there happen to be anyone in your section with internet/computer access please msg them.
